April 30 – The 30 Blessings Project Final Blessing Day
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Romans 12:14
If we are commanded to bless those who are negative toward us, how much more should we be blessing those in our spiritual family? And yet Jesus made it clear that even sinners love their own. How much more unexpected and thought-provoking it must be to the world when we treat our enemies the way most people treat their families?
What sets us apart as Children of God is our ability to overcome our natural urges and act with a love we don’t feel. In other words, we react unnaturally, by faith, to events we encounter.
When Paul called us to be transformed and renewed, it is because we were not intended to remain of the world. We were called out of the world as representatives for Christ.
In essence, the 30 Blessings Project has been about fulfilling our roles as representatives for Christ. It is about sharing His love with others.
