WHEN I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING

We just started singing this at church.  I don’t know who wrote it, but,     WOW,       what a way to start the day!!!

When I wake up in the morning and I lift up my head,   I sing “Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord”.

When I roll right out of bed and my feet hit the floor,    I sing “Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord”.

CHORUS:

Good morning Lord, I love you.  I just wanted you to know

Here’s my heart, my will, myself, I yield it all to you

Take my life and use it, guide my feet along the way

May Your Words my mind renew,  Your Spirit fill me each day.

Verse 2

When I see the morning sunlight and I breathe  in fresh air

I sing “Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord”.

When I spend time in God’s word, talk to Jesus in prayer

I sing”Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord”.

    What a great way to start out the morning. You know, sometimes I wonder what it would be like to just hop out of bed (I usually just keep rolling over until I thud on to the floor) and start praising God.

    On a second note, I wonder what it would be like to have the closeness with God and a trust in Him to be able to ask Him (more importantly to hear His answer) what you should wear for that day...hmmm, I'll get there one day :) Thanks for sharing.
